When on the look-out for products for a project it is, of course, of the absolutely highest importance that one consider the specifications of the project in question. In my experience commercial projects (and particularly bars, cafes and restaurants) allow the Designer to indulge in pieces that would usually be a ‘no go’ for residential projects. Take this lamp, for example, I am sure there is some one who has Price Charles/Diana plates on their wall who might like this but I would not feel very comfortable presenting it to any of my clients. In a little Tea shop, however, it might well be right on the money. The moral of the story? Don’t discount items as they well have a purpose that has not yet become apparent!
