If you’ve ever looked through Yanko Design you will see a plethora of weird and wacky coffee machines that are great for small kitchen designs. Having pretty much done a tour of coffee shops in San Franciso and being an avid coffee drinker (latte with oat milk, soya if you don’t have it) I have seen lots of designs.
When we were designing a top of the range kitchen for a client recently we were looking for an innovative coffee maker, something that was a little different and it brought my mind spinning back to this stunning creation at Saint Frank Coffeeshop in San Francisco. Amazing place, by the way, if you are in the area I couldn’t recommend it enough.
This style of coffee machine is perfect for the design aesthetic we are going for – modern, sleek and a little bit sexy. So I start on my hunt to try and find this coffee machine, without much luck. I tried everything to find even something that resembles it.
I searched everything:
Alas, nothing that looked even remotely similar but what I did stumble across was the TopBrewer. It is essentially a coffee tap. Yup, you heard that right – coffee on tap. It can even be app controlled so you can start your coffee before trundling downstairs first thing in the morning.
The beautiful, patented stainless steel tap is designed to be built into any tabletop. The simplicity of the TopBrewer fits elegantly into any surroundings and allows you to focus on a more direct contact with your customers or clients. The TopBrewer brews a perfect cup of fresh-bean coffee – every time.
It’s safe to say that as soon as I saw it I had to put it into the design.
