I have a lot of friends who live in rentals and a common theme is: what can we do with our kitchen, there is nothing that we can change?! The first thing, in my opinion, is addition through subtraction – lose the clutter and then you will at least have a (more) blank slate to work with. Once this has been done you could do far worse that getting a funky center-pierce for the table. Choose something that suits the style of the room: getting something really nice to go in a below par kitchen will only highlight the weakness of the room. Instead go for a fun piece, like the rabbit below, he will cheer you up and draw attention to the fact that you don’t take the kitchen of your rental too seriously!
