Amidst the storied elegance of London’s architectural heritage, this mansion block in Knightsbridge boasts a prominent 1930s building that has been recently restructured and refurbished to accommodate modern living. Our focus of this project was a 4 bedroom, 5th floor apartment, which underwent a complete transformation in order to become a contemporary family home with a design that was at its heart, timeless.
Resolute in their vision, our client tasked us with creating a home that was both sleek and modern and also practical and hardwearing. With meticulous attention to detail, easy to maintain surfaces and finishes were curated for durability, ensuring their longevity. A complete redesign was required to ensure that the client’s brief was met and exceeded, with space and natural light a priority.
Honouring the art deco roots of a building while introducing cutting-edge comfort presents a challenge; a formidable one at that. Yet, this was the task undertaken by our studio design team that would ultimately transform a family’s living space into a luxurious retreat that combines the best of both worlds.
Within this Knightsbridge apartment ‘s confines, our team successfully paid homage to the building’s art deco root while simultaneously introducing modern, luxurious finishes and couture craftsmanship. This was done by using bold outlines and a gentlemanly palette of colours that would also appeal to the client’s expanding family.
