Kensington homes come with rules. Stucco-fronted townhouses, red-brick mansion blocks and garden-square flats sit in conservation areas, and many are listed. A good scheme here respects the building first, then makes it work for how you live now.
Kia Designs is an award-winning residential interior design studio at London Bridge, about 25 minutes away, with more than 200 completed projects across London.
Much of Kensington is covered by conservation areas, and some works need planning or listed building consent. We plan the design around those limits from the first survey, so nothing gets redrawn late. Where consent is needed, we work alongside your architect or planning consultant.
We also design homes in Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Notting Hill and Holland Park. See our services and pricing, or tell us about your Kensington home and we’ll tell you how we’d approach it.
Our Kensington Townhouse was a 4,200 sq ft, six-bedroom refurbishment. The brief was to keep the house’s grandeur without letting it feel fussy, and to rework the lower ground floor into the real heart of the house. We had a team on site the day after exchange and finished in four months.
