Interior design in Islington
Islington interior design from first sketch to handover: how we redesigned a family house near the canal, room by room, and what we'd do for yours.
Clean and modern, for a family home that works hard. Every room had a job to do, and the design had to make room for real family life rather than hide from it.
The lounge works mainly as the family TV room, while the second drawing room doubles as a music room and office, with storage that can take a lot of family kit for the next few years.
A deep, chalky colour with a blue accent, and art planned for the walls above the piano and sofa.
A second reception room that has to work for practice, for work and for storage, without looking like any of them.
Built-in cupboards either side of the fireplace and shelving in the study, so the rooms stay clear.
Patterned floors and geometric tiles, bright and easy to live with.

Most of our Islington and Highbury work is in Georgian and Victorian terraces, many in conservation areas and some listed. That shapes what can change at the front, on the roof and at the back, so we check what's allowed before we design. We plan for all of this from the first meeting, so it doesn't hold up the build.
We've been designing London homes for 18 years. In that time, our bathrooms and kitchens have won national awards. The first conversation is free, and we can usually meet within a few days.
