Interior design in Fitzrovia
Fitzrovia interior design from first sketch to handover: how we designed a three-bedroom new-build apartment with small bedrooms, and what we'd do for yours.
Like many central London new builds, the apartment had good living space and surprisingly small bedrooms. The job was to make every room feel luxurious without feeling crammed.
Standard furniture often didn't fit, so much of what's in the bedrooms was designed for the exact room it sits in.
Standard beds wouldn't fit, so we designed beds to the exact dimensions of each room.
One bedroom didn't have 8cm to spare for a padded headboard, so wall-mounted artwork does the job instead.
An oversized headboard was built in sections, so it could go up the stairs and be put together in the room.
Mustard armchairs, patterned curtains and dark joinery give the open-plan living room its warmth.

Most of our Fitzrovia work is in new-build and mansion-block apartments, where the managing agent sets its own rules on working hours, deliveries and lift use. Fitzrovia sits across Camden and Westminster, and much of it is in conservation areas. We plan for all of this from the first meeting, so it doesn't hold up the job.
We've been designing London homes for 18 years. In that time, our bathrooms and kitchens have won national awards. The first conversation is free, and we can usually meet within a few days.
