Meeting the brief

The lounge area will focus on comfort and the dining area will have the possibility of seating 6-8 people, with the option of two seats by the bar area as well. 
 
The spare bedroom is to have the flexibility of becoming a small guest bed, as well as creating more storage options here including a chest of drawers and a small dressing table area if space allows. 
In the principle bedroom, the wardrobes will be retained, whilst being updated through paint and new handles. New window dressings will be installed. 
 
The space as a whole will offer good lighting solutions and create a more relaxed and comfortable space through layers of different lighting. 
 
The design will include creating displays of their existing artwork and treasured pieces, as well as ensuring there is space to expand and collect new artwork over time.

Brief and scope

To redesign a three bedroom mansion apartment creating a new home.  The design will focus on the living and dining room, the principle bedroom, a new principle ensuite and the spare bedroom, whilst including redecoration in the hallway as well. 

Greenery will be introduced to the design to bring in more life, although carefully selected ‘easy care’ or ‘faux’ plants will be chosen rather than anything which requires too much work! 

Fresh neutral tones will be intertwined with touches of bolder, darker colours to introduce some interest. It will be calm, clean, paired back whilst bringing in some wooden earthy tones, to create an inviting new home.
