The brief

A busy family home that needed to work harder. The clients wanted a kitchen at the heart of the house, proper storage, and bedrooms and bathrooms that felt calm and finished.

They also wanted personality: colour, art and the things they love on show, rather than a show-home look.

What we changed

Kitchen

Blue cabinetry, pendant lights and a skylight, with the laundry hidden behind matching cabinet doors.

Living

A bright living room with space for the piano, and built-in bookshelves for books and art.

Bathrooms

A shower in colourful tiles and a calmer bathroom in green, each with generous storage.

Bedrooms

A walk-in wardrobe under skylights, a cosy window seat and a children's room built for books and play.

Wimbledon interior design: what to plan for

Most of our Wimbledon work is in Victorian and Edwardian family houses, often with loft conversions or rear extensions. Parts of Wimbledon are conservation areas, which can affect windows and extensions, and family houses usually need the work phased around school terms and living at home. We plan for all of this from the first meeting, so it doesn't hold up the job.

We've been designing London homes for 18 years. In that time, our bathrooms and kitchens have won national awards. The first conversation is free, and we can usually meet within a few days.
