The brief

A house for groups. The owners wanted a holiday home that families and friends would book again and again, with space for everyone to be together and room to spread out.

Everything had to look good in the listing photos, stand up to guests, and be in and ready for the first bookings.

What we changed

Living

Blue sofas, a dark blue snug and a long dining table give big groups somewhere to gather.

Games room

Wallpaper, a pool table, table tennis and a bar, so rainy days are part of the fun.

Bedrooms

Calm, pretty bedrooms in soft blues, greens and pinks, with hard-wearing fabrics.

For families

New Forest interior design: what to plan for

Most of our work outside London is run from our studio with planned site visits, working alongside a local contractor. For a holiday let, we design to a launch date: furniture is ordered early, deliveries are booked together, and rooms are styled ready for photography. We tender the works, track every item and handle the install, so the owners aren't chasing suppliers from a distance.
