It is amazing what a little trimming can do: these curtains were used for a client a few years back and although they were beautiful and decadent in their own right the gorgeous trimming really ensured the most luxurious finish. I am particularly fond of this trimming as it is not merely an addition but actually a feature in its own right. It has a post-modern mix (in my eyes anyway) between oriental and traditional and a few years on still looks fantastic!
