Another one of those items that is likely to split opinion! I really like them (I think!) but it is, of course, always of knowing when/where to use them/not use them! I like these units in conjunction with the sofa shown here:
I think that in order for pieces such as this to not look pretentious it is important that they are used with more rugged pieces of furniture. In fact, I can actually imagine these working really nicely in a teenagers room: maybe not what the designer had in mind but it could work very nicely:
