Kia Designs is the only new years resolution I have ever kept!
We are happy to announce that last week Kia Sunda became a member of the BIID (British Institute of Interior Design), they are the foremost organisation for interior design here in the UK. BIID Members have at least 6 years of experience and education as interior designers and are considered fully qualified, having passed the strict criteria of our Professional Pathway to qualify for membership. So it is kind of a big deal, especially as it co-insides with 2015 being Kia Designs 7th year of business (the business was incorporated on the 31st December 2008)
Being a member of the BIID sets you apart from other interior designers, BIID members needs to adhere to professional practices that you may not find in none member designers. Entry requirements are rigorous and assess not just a designers training but also that experience (you have to have a minimum of 6 years of it) as well as their professionalism. You know that you are not only getting a designer with the qualifications but also with the experience to be able to handle your project from start to finish in a professional manner.
Members are constantly developing their skills through Continued Professional Development on a whole host of products and techniques, from creating smart homes to how bespoke rugs are created in Nepal. When you look for a designer you are not just looking for (and paying for) someone who can create a enticing mood board, you are looking for someone who can take that mood board through to a fully finished property that is ready for you and your family to live happily in for years to come.
A designer has years worth of experience and expertise to draw on when creating a scheme for your home and when you employ a BIID Member you know that they have the highest of professional qualities and will be able to bring years worth of expertise to your project.
