Having been a teacher for 2 years I am very aware of the fact that children (like adults) do not fit into the ‘blue is for boys and pink is for girls’ stereotype. Indeed, the argument could be made that one should not try to influence a child too much by prescribing certain colours for their bedroom. The use of neutral colours in a youngster’s bedroom can be a great way to allow their personality to autonomously develop – after all, a parent who has their baby girl’s room pink may find that they have a keen football player on their hands!
