Exploring Inspiration at Decorex 2025 — A Week of Design, Discovery, and Connection

Every year, Decorex brings together the brightest minds and most inspiring brands in interior design — and this year was no exception.
As a studio that thrives on creativity and collaboration, Kia Designs was delighted to once again attend this year’s event at Olympia London, and it reminded us exactly why we love being part of this industry.

A Celebration of Craft and Curiosity

Walking through Decorex always feels like stepping into a living, breathing mood board. The energy is infectious — from the hum of conversations between designers and makers to the quiet fascination of discovering a new finish, a new texture, a new way of thinking about space.

This year, the overarching feeling was one of renewed creativity and conscious luxury. You could see it everywhere: beautifully crafted pieces that tell stories, materials chosen not just for how they look but for how they’re sourced, and stands that felt like immersive experiences rather than simple displays.

For our team, it’s those small, thoughtful details that spark the most excitement — a lighting designer experimenting with sculptural glass forms, a textile brand reviving traditional weaving techniques with a modern palette, a furniture maker refining craftsmanship down to the millimetre.

Meeting Minds That Move Design Forward

Beyond the aesthetics, Decorex is always about connection. We met incredible artisans, fellow designers, suppliers, and creative thinkers who are all shaping what design means today. There’s something very special about those spontaneous conversations that start with, “Have you seen that stand over there?” and evolve into new collaborations and ideas.

For Kia Designs, these moments are fuel. They remind us that our work doesn’t exist in isolation — it’s part of a wider creative ecosystem built on shared values, fresh perspectives, and a deep respect for design as both art and problem-solving.

Inspiration for the Year Ahead

We’ve come away from Decorex 2025 with notebooks full of sketches, materials samples, and ideas we can’t wait to bring into our upcoming projects.

It’s always amazing how events like this expand your creative horizon — how a single encounter or visual moment can shift the direction of a design in a completely new way.

Most importantly, it reinforced something we’ve always believed: good design is about more than beauty — it’s about meaning, craftsmanship, and connection. As we dive into new projects this winter, those lessons will shape the spaces we create and the stories we tell through design.
