When creating a home extension, we considered the existing architecture and design elements to ensure a sympathetic addition. We used materials and colours that complemented the original structure and maintained the proportion of the house.

“The process was managed really well from start to finish, despite the difficult working environment and supply chain issues. The design process is interactive and the team consistently looks to come up with solutions to any issues. The use of a design app and transparent billing system ensures the process is smooth and clear. We’re very pleased with the final outcome and the work undertaken throughout.”
We took inspiration from pieces they had and loved, bringing colours of orange and green throughout, along with furniture they had already.
The existing dining room was separate from the kitchen, but used for the kids’ paraphernalia, a tall wine fridge, golf clubs, and an overall dumping ground.
We had to completely re-jig the entire space to open up the back of the house, remove a structural wall, and provide an open plan to the back garden.
In the kitchen, we brought a new island and all the things they loved to the forefront, including their wine fridge.
Lovely clients with a very not-lovely extension on the back of this North London townhouse.
When Kia Designs first came in, it was a little utility room off the kitchen with a very British oven which was permanently on.
Overall, we implemented a contemporary aesthetic with calming colours, punches of beautiful arrangements, and lots of natural wood to make it look as if the extension was always there.
This gave it all a completely new lease on life, and the clients spend all their time in this space now, with the new layout.
