Bathroom Design & Renovation in London

Bathrooms designed properly, from the drawings up

A bathroom is the most technical room in a home, and the least forgiving. Every tile, valve, drain and light fitting has to be decided before the first wall is opened up. Get it right and it feels effortless every morning for years. Get it wrong and you live with it.

Kia Designs is an award-winning London interior design studio with more than 18 years of experience and over 200 projects. We design and deliver bathroom renovations across London, from compact flat bathrooms and guest en-suites to principal suites with walk-in showers, freestanding baths and bespoke vanities.

What we do

  • Layout and space planning. Working out the best arrangement for the room you have, including moving the bath, shower, basin or WC where drainage allows.
  • Technical drawings. Tiling setting-out, elevations, bespoke vanity and joinery details, and lighting plans your contractor can build from.
  • Materials and finishes. Natural stone, porcelain, encaustic and zellige tiles, terrazzo and timber, chosen for how they look and how they wear.
  • Brassware and sanitaryware. Finishes from brushed brass to matt black and nickel, coordinated across the whole home.
  • Lighting. Layered, bathroom-rated lighting for shaving, bathing and late-night trips.
  • Procurement and site delivery. Ordering, tracking lead times and checking the build against the drawings.

Our work

How a bathroom project works with us

  1. First conversation. Free, so we can understand the room, the home and what you want from it.
  2. Brief and survey. We measure, check what is behind the walls where we can, and agree the brief in writing.
  3. Design. Layout options, then a full scheme with materials, brassware and lighting.
  4. Technical package. Detailed drawings and specifications for your contractor, or ours.
  5. Delivery. Procurement and site visits to make sure what gets built matches what was designed.

You are welcome to use your own builder. We will make sure they have everything they need.

Bathrooms as part of a wider project

Most of our bathroom work sits within a larger renovation or whole-home interior. Designing bathrooms alongside the rest of the house keeps materials, joinery and finishes consistent from room to room. See our interior design services and portfolio.
